The ServiceByte LLC privacy policy describes the information and privacy practices provided for our home and office visits and for our web site. For business clients, ServiceByte LLC is also bound by any confidentiality clause in your signed agreement with ServiceByte LLC. When you provide ServiceByte LLC with your personal information, you consent to the information practices described in this policy.
 

INFORMATION COLLECTED

ServiceByte LLC may collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail, and credit card numbers. In addition, ServiceByte LLC may collect information about your computer systems such as model types, serial numbers, user names and passwords.
 

USE OF INFORMATION

ServiceByte LLC uses your personal information and system information (collectively “Personal Information”) to provide you with the best service possible. ServiceByte LLC may also use your Personal Information for marketing, promotions, discounts, internal research, sweepstakes or surveys. ServiceByte LLC will never sell or rent your Personal Information. ServiceByte LLC may need to share your Personal Information with third parties that are service providers to ServiceByte LLC, such as mailing services. All these services are required by ServiceByte LLC never to sell, rent, or share your Personal Information. In cases in which your employer has contracted ServiceByte LLC to provide you with Services, ServiceByte LLC may share with your employer only Personal Information that can help your employer provide you with ongoing technical support.
 

INFORMATION SECURITY

ServiceByte LLC makes all reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information, including high-tech encryption, security passwords, and document shredding. ServiceByte LLC cannot, however, guarantee the security of sensitive Personal Information transmitted by e-mail and help desk to ServiceByte LLC, and you do so at your own risk.
 
ServiceByte LLC may put remote access software on your computer to allow us to help you over the Internet without visiting your home or office. This third party software is secured by high-tech encryption and is considered very safe; however ServiceByte LLC does not warrant this third party software and cannot guarantee its safety. If you would like ServiceByte LLC to remove or not place third party remote access software on your computer, please contact us at support@ServiceByte.com or mention it in your existing help desk support emails.
 
ServiceByte LLC respects your time and your privacy, and is an opt-out organization. If you prefer not to receive newsletters, offers, discounts, or other marketing information, you can either follow instructions to “opt-out” on all pieces of ServiceByte LLC marketing, or you can e-mail us at info@ServiceByte.com. Please note that it may take up to ten (10) days to remove you from our mailing lists.
 

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

The ServiceByte LLC web site, and some ServiceByte LLC marketing information, may contain links to third party sites. ServiceByte LLC is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.
 

CHANGES

ServiceByte LLC may change elements of its Privacy Policy from time to time. All changes will be posted here before they take effect.

Including Warranty and Returns

30-day Limited Warranty

ServiceByte warrants to you that this refurbished “Product” shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”). This warranty is valid only in the United States on Product purchased from ServiceByte.
 
This limited warranty does not cover:
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Defects caused by misuse, abuse, accident, negligence, or acts of God
  • Products that have been modified or whose serial number or warranty/refurbished sticker has been altered or removed
  • Products that have been improperly maintained or that anyone other than a service provider authorized by ServiceByte
  • Products used commercially

Returns

We at ServiceByte pride ourselves on providing the best customer experience by offering quality refurbished products. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your refurbished system, we would like the opportunity to work with you to resolve your issues and ensure that your experience with ServiceByte leaves you satisfied. In the event that you still wish to return your system, here are a few things you should know:
 
  • You must note your dissatisfaction within 30 days from the date of invoice to be eligible for a return. ServiceByte has the right to deny requests if we deem damages were due to end users negligence.
  • Any charges that were associated with the implementation of this said device are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • We will credit your account for the price of the system minus shipping, handling and implementation.
  • Restocking Fees: Unless the product is defective or there is an issue that is a direct result of a ServiceByte error, a restocking fee of 20% may be charged on hardware, accessories, peripherals, parts and unopened software still in its/their sealed package.

Obtaining Warranty Service

Before the Warranty Period expires, either bring the Product to ServiceByte or call for special instructions. You may need to produce the Product’s original packaging, manuals, included accessories and your original receipt. If ServiceByte determines that this Product is covered by this limited warranty and is defective, ServiceByte will, at its option, repair or replace the Product or issue a refund to the credit card used to purchase the Product; if no replacement Product is available and system issues do not allow ServiceByte to issue a refund to your credit card, ServiceByte may instead issue you a credit in the amount of the purchase price. ServiceByte may ship replacement Product to you or to ServiceByte for you to pick up. If you return the Product to ServiceByte, any refund issued will usually be posted within 14 days. If you return the Product by mail, any refund issued will usually be posted within 14-21 days. Replaced Product becomes the property of ServiceByte and will not be returned, unless required by law. You are responsible for removing all personal data and information from the Product before returning it to ServiceByte. ServiceByte will not preserve, or return to you, any of your downloads, pictures, or any other data on the Product and cannot be responsible for dissemination of that data if you fail to remove it from the Product.
 
ServiceByte makes no other warranties, express or implied, with respect to the Product. All warranties, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the Warranty Period.
 
Under no circumstances shall ServiceByte be liable for any damages in connection with the Product, including, but not limited to, any loss of data, loss of use of the Product, down-time, or any other direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages whether or not based on breach of limited warranty, contract or negligence.
 
Some states, provinces, and jurisdictions do not allow (1) limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or (2) the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by state.
